DeSoto County requires all vendors to have a completed and updated W-9 form on file

Please see the documents section in the vendor application should you need a blank W-9 form as well as an example form for your reference. Any vendor wishing to file under their social security number will also need to complete a PERS form. The PERS form can also be found in the documents section. This form confirms that you are not a current employee, or a retiree, of a PERS-participating agency who is seeking additional compensation outside of your employment with, or retirement from, a PERS-participating agency.

DeSoto County does not abide by customary credit terms and does not offer any personal guarantees

Per Mississippi State Law, DeSoto County is allotted forty-five (45) business days from receipt of invoice to pay charges depicted. Accordingly, DeSoto County will not pay additional credits or interest accrued before this forty-five (45) day period. If a credit application is submitted, DeSoto County will amend the agreement to accommodate Mississippi State Law. The DeSoto County Board of Supervisors meets the first and third Monday of every month except when adjusted for holidays. Accordingly, payments are typically available on the next business day following a Board Meeting.
